Telebeads (by Labrune et al 2006)

Telebeads is a conceptual exploration of interactive mobile mnemonic artefacts. Their form-factor allows 'crafting' and symbolic exchange. They can be creatively reconfigured and personalized to reflect their local rituals and social protocols. Teens can create simple associations between a physical objects, the telebead, and individuals or groups in the group. Beads may be collected and exchanged as souvenirs of a person or event, and later act as a mnemonic for keeping track of members of a particular social network.
