Welcome

HandJive (by Fogg et al, 1998)

HandJive is a handheld object that allows remote play through haptic input and output. Specifically, HandJive is a device that:
  •  fits in one hand
  •  moves in interesting ways (so you can fidget with it)
  •  can communicate wirelessly with similar devices
  •  has only haptic input and output (no visuals, no sound)
  •  sends movements to another HandJive device
  •  receives movements from another HandJive device
In the final version, HandJive is a device with two balls which can be played by remote partners. When one physically moves a ball in one location, the distant ball moves as well.
