The Support radio is an interactive service puts the partners of individuals addicted to their computer in touch with each other to share stories, experiences and provide reassurance in a cathartic audio forum. Users can record and leave messages whenever necessary which are played on the radios of other users.
People can tune through messages left by people in different geographical locations. People furthest from the user can be heard first and over time, more and more people closer to the house can be heard. If the addicted computer user turns off their computer the system is reset and the process starts again. This is to let the addicted individual know that they have an element of control over the system. They are introducing their partner to more and more people, closer and closer to their house the longer they spend on the computer. This is to encourage then to turn it off every once in a while and, at the same time, provide support for their families.
