The Gustbowl contains a motion sensor, a digital camera, an electric motor, and a semitransparent display. Linked in pairs by a telephone or Internet connection, each Gustbowl repeats the movement of the other bowl. As soon as some items are thrown in, the gustbowl of the remote partner begins to wobble. When the wobbling stops, a picture appears dynamically, showing the content of the paired bowl. This picture fades out gradually, indicating the time since the bowl was last touched. After a while it disappears without a trace.
