Digital Selves (by Grivas, 2006)

(mapping of the system)

(the digital selves)

The digital selves receive signals from sensors that are placed in household devices and furniture or even walls. Those sensors transmit signals when the device or furniture is in use. The object in the other person’s house receives the signals and emits light accordingly to notify the inhabitant. The digital selves are located at the mid-distance between the connected household items. The object is meant to be a free standing object that stands on a vertical metal pole supported by a heavy base. The height of the object represents the height of the household items.
