The concept consists of a doll (e.g., teddy bear) and a pajama suit. Once a user hugs the doll, the doll detects varying amount of pressure from the hug. It subsequently transmits the data to the pajama suit which reproduces the hugging feeling through a change of pressure and temperature. Inflatable air compartments on the inside of the pajama and heating elements are implemented in order to change these parameters. When one user is far away from the other, the color of the pajama is dull. As the partner returns closer to home, the color of the pajama will change to become brighter and warmer. A scent similar to the fragrance used by the other user is also intended to be utilized. Additionally, a LCD display panel embedded on the sleeves of the pajama allows the user to look at live images of the remote user. Also, emotions can be communicated using animated emoticons.
