Anchor (Farny et al 2012)

Anchor is a message application that focus on the sailors' working situation and their long-distance relationships. The application wurde be using before sailors' employments. The message and media data are stored and locked in the device. During the sailors' employments, in which internet connection is not always available, Anchor synthesizes "new" messages from the locked storage to imitate the synchronous communication. Users' real messages and media data are synchronized when the internet is available (in the haven).
